Running a team

Open your team from the More tab and hit "Copy invite link". Anyone who opens that link joins your team — if they don't have an account yet it walks them through creating one first, then drops them straight in.

No. It's one link for the whole team, so you can put it in an email, a group chat or a calendar invite and let people join in their own time.

Owners and captains can rename the team, manage members and enter the team into challenges. Members just walk and log. You can change anyone's role from the team page.

Both are blocked on purpose, so a team can never end up with nobody who can manage it. Promote someone else to owner first, then step back.

Remove them from the member list and send them the right link. Nothing they logged is lost — their step history belongs to them, not to the team.

Go to the Challenges tab, find the one you want and hit Join. Only owners and captains can do this, and only one team of yours goes in at a time.

Browse only shows challenges that have been published and haven't started yet. Once a challenge is under way it's closed to new teams, so if it's missing it has either already begun or hasn't been published.

Yes, as long as nobody on the team has logged any steps in it yet. Once there are steps on the board, leaving would quietly delete real results and shuffle everyone else's ranking, so you'll need an admin to sort it out instead.

Yes. On the Steps tab you can switch to any member of your team and fill in their days. It's meant for helping someone who's stuck rather than doing it for everyone.

On average steps per member, not the total. That way a small committed team is competitive against a big half-interested one, and adding people who don't log doesn't help you.

After the challenge ends there's a grace period for people to finish logging. Once an administrator finalises it, the standings are frozen and the results page opens — team winners, top individuals and a most-valuable walker for each team.

The challenge analytics page breaks it down: a daily curve, who's logging and who has gone quiet, how your team compares day by day, and the records set along the way.
